Whey is a liquid with solids removed produced by fermentation by lactic-acid bacilli of an aqueous solution of whole or non-fat milk. Whey contains substances such as lactose (milk sugar), proteins and minerals and is said to produce moisturizing, skin-softening and skin-damage restoration effects.
