Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)

Vitamin B2 is a vitamin that is involved in the process of the break down and conversion to energy of fat in living organisms. A vitamin B2 deficiency incapacitates the smooth regulation of sebum, facilitating the occurrence of conditions such as seborrheic dermatitis, eczema and acne. In addition, vitamin B2 suppresses the production of fatty acid peroxides, realizing an anti-aging effect. Because vitamin B2 is water soluble, a liposoluble derivative called “riboflavin butyrate” also exists that is characterized by enhanced transdermal absorption.
